Utricularia pusilla, a small carnivorous plant

This is the flower of Utricularia pusilla, a common and small carnivorous plant here in Colombia. This type of carnivorous plants are called bladderworths because they have tiny bladderlike traps that create a vacuum effect to capture nearby passing prey. Posted by Picasa

Leaf cutting ants (Atta sp.)
